Alpine Buick GMC sponsors DNA LifePrint program; offers a little fun too
(DENVER – May 10, 2010) Alpine Buick GMC, 8120 W. Tufts Ave., will partner with DNA LifePrint Child Safety program to provide a free DNA Identification and Biometric Fingerprint Profile Kit to every parent and child who visits their location on Saturday, May 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Alpine and our Community
Alpine Buick Pontiac GMC names Chris "Birdman" Andersen as their new spokesperson. In honor of the partnership, Alpine presented Birdman with a new special, “Birdman” Edition ’09 GMC 2500 HD Diesel Truck and donated money to Excel Institute Inc., one of the many local schools Birdman helps raise money for.

Over ten years ago, retired Detective Sergeant for the city of Miami Beach Police, Joseph Matthews, joined forces with John Walsh of America’s Most Wanted, to create an organization whose sole purpose is to provide the most essential child safety services to children in the U.S. They have found that if a child becomes missing, parents greatly increase their chance of quickly recovering their child if they immediately provide critical information, which is included as part of the free kit offered by Alpine Buick GMC. Elements include:
- A Child Safety Journal, providing law enforcement officials with vital information about their child and other important facts they will need immediately after a child is reported missing.
- A Digital Photograph of their child – high quality full color.
- An FBI Certified Biometric 10 Digit Fingerprint Profile. The most advanced fingerprint technology available to help find a child in the event of kidnapping.
- A Home DNA Identification Kit that is easy and lasts through generations.
“Sadly, in today’s world, parents need to protect their children from violence,” said Ivette Dominguez, owner of Alpine Buick GMC. “Luckily, with preparation and by using the newest technology parents can get peace of mind.”
Alpine Buick GMC staff will lighten the mood with other activities at the event on May 15. The dealership will offer face painting and a jump castle for the children and refreshments including barbecue, cotton candy and ice cream. Autographed photographs of Denver Nuggets star, Chris “Birdman” Anderson, will be offered free while supplies last and attendees can register to win a basketball autographed by the star.
Kids and their parents will also be treated to performances by Radio Disney and dancers from X-treme Dance Force, a new dance troupe out of Littleton.
Dominguez, a champion of causes for children and families, has sponsored the DNA LifePrint program since 2006.

About DNA LifePrint Child Safety Program
DNA LifePrint™ was developed by Joe Matthews a 30-year police veteran and former supervisor in charge of the Miami Beach Homicide Division. After his lead detective work on the nationally-publicized "Baby Lollipop" case and Adam Walsh case, Matthews came to the realization that police can track a stolen motor vehicle but not a missing or abducted child. He also found that fingerprints are often unreadable therefore unreliable as a mean of identification. He has since retired from the Miami Beach Police and dedicated his efforts to create DNA LifePrint™ Management Kit. More information can be found at www.dna-lifeprint.com.
